MEZZROW AT FRYSHUSET, STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN (1990)

Mezzrow opening up before Candlemass at the legendary and pro-shot concert on June 9, 1990.

Story from the event from Mezzrows official Facebook page: We all went to see Slayer on their World Sacrifice Tour in september 1988 at Fryshuset, Stockholm. It was, of course, a blast! (It wasn’t the first time we went there, since many thrashbands had played there during the eighties.) After Slayer had finished their set, I remember thinking that Fryshuset was the perfect place for thrash metal!

On the 9th of June 1990 we supported Candlemass at the very same venue. It was a sick feeling to play where all our favorite bands had played! A big stage with sidefills and a fence in front of the stage. A really huge contrast to the small clubs that we were used to!

Well, it was insane! We soundchecked ten minutes before people entered the hall and when we went on stage, a powerful roar from the packed venue welcomed us. Fantastic! We will always remember that night and we give you some pictures from the gig!
