I KNOW SEVERAL OF YOU THINKS I SH*T A LOT ON METALLICA!

The truth is that I LOVE the band, up until this f**kin album.

I know a lot of younger people wonder about the hate for todays METALLICA. Here’s my take why. The main reason is that if you look up "sell out" in any encyclopedia, the band is sitting there waving ”The black album” in a picture!

I bought "Ride the Lightning" as a 12-year old and was completely floored. The best thing I've ever heard. Childhood heroes like Kiss and Saxon was immediately forgotten all about. Then came "masters" and "...and justice", both awesome albums.

... then all of a sudden this f-kin album arrived! What the f— was that? Well, it seems that Metallica felt how traditional metal and Thrash were declining in popularity. But Grunge and the Alice in Chains thing was popular, so they made a "heavy" version of it. So instead of following their thrash tradition, they sold themselves like cheap wh**es, hence a lot of hate from old schoolers!

I think you must have been there then, because to this day I don’t think I ever been more disappointed about anything. Nowadays I can see ”The Black Album” as a perfectly fine album, but it still has an extremely bitter aftertaste. It didn't get any better that all the classmates who thought I was stupid who liked the ”noise” of the first 4 records, all of a sudden thought this one was great and now everyone loved the band.

Then came Load and Reload ... what the hell ... for real! Now they had not only sold themselves, but covered their whole as*es with vaseline, bent over and let the times penetrate them!

.... then they never recovered in my book. Today it’s just overproduced/sterile post-thrash for pink Armani shirt ”metalers” without any kind of soul!
