Just the other day I saw Full Moon Productions post a killer photo of Dissection from their 1996 European tour with Satyricon and Gorgoroth. The photos in those post come from that same gig at the legendary Gibus club in Paris, France. On the second slide you can see the man behind the lens, Shaxul of Hirilorn and Deathspell Omega (first two albums), alongside John and two anonymous men. You all have heard Dissection, Satyricon and DSO, so I’ll take this time to recommend the cult Hirilorn 7” “Depopulate (Prelude to Apocalypse)” from 1999. This recording was written primarily by Hasjarl, who would also go on to form DSO, and was released on his record label - End All Life Productions. Hateful stuff!
