Here is a collection of photos featuring Quorthon of Bathory, taken on a promo trip to Los Angeles, circa 1987. Like almost any story pertaining to Bathory, there is plenty of lore (perhaps self created) to go along with these photos. On the last slide I’ve included a press release from New Renaissance Records - talking all about the photo shoot and their close call with the LA Fire department. That being said, the photos seem to be taken indoors and not on the roof of the building as the label claimed. It’s also interesting that they claim a U.S. tour is planned for spring of 1988; That would have been monumental to say the least.
