KISS ”LOVE GUN” REVIEW (AFTONBLADET, JULY 4, 1977)

Aftonbladet is a Swedish daily newspaper/tabloid. I have translated the short review of”Love Gun”. I guess he didn’t like the band 😂😂😂

Kiss Roars and Screams

KISS: Love Gun (Casablanca)

Kiss is a pretty bad hard rock group.

They scream their "love" and ”baby", they roar and throw around with their electric boards and amplifiers, slam cymbals and small drums.

It doesn't swing either, it doesn't even get cool, speedy or have claws. Just noise.

The songs are not remarkable. The least bad is actually Phil Spector's fifteen-year-old hit "Then he kissed med (sic)". Although it's more fun in the original with Crystals.

As usual, Kiss revels in violence and blood on the cover and accompanying advertising leaflets and paper guns. Unfortunately, it's probably thanks to their slightly fascist appearance that they've become so popular. They're not any great musicians.
