I've not seen this posted anywhere so maybe this is a first for many of you. Below is the original final painting of the Destroyer album artwork by Ken Kelly, owned by Bill Aucoin. Yesterday (April 18, 2025), it was sold at Heritage Auctions for $200,000 ($250,000 total with fees). As far as I know, this painting has never been seen in its original form since it was painted nearly 50 years ago.
Here's the "brown" version showing KISS in their Dressed to Kill/Alive costumes. It was auctioned and sold for $95,000 ($118,750 total with fees). Ken Kelly recreated this artwork for the Destroyer Resurrected album in 2012 with a significant change in Ace's face.
