In an effort to connect with the rock stars I met in the early 1980s, I asked them to fill out a small rock questionnaire that I kept in a folder with me. Once the first bands—Anvil, Twisted Sister, and Black Sabbath—had completed their questionnaires, it became quite easy to convince other bands. They were always curious to read my folder containing all the questionnaires filled out by their fellow musicians at the time. It was a great opportunity for me to spend some time with them beyond just taking a photo.
