The Argentinian band featured in the fanzine Metal Kommand from 1987. Here’s the original article and a translated to English version for you.
This national heavy metal band had its heyday in 1984, managing to record their debut album which also was their grand finale. The group formed as a trio in 1981 with Daniel Parodi (bass), Marcelo Simone (quitarre), and Oscar Oropeza (drums). Luis Escobar (quitarre) and finally Billy (vocals) joined the band later. Their first steps were in pubs and clubs, eventually playing as support for V8 in PLATENSE. The band's popularity was such that the producers of the progeny CUERO PESADO (I'm not giving names, but I think everyone knows who they are) took a "risk," so to speak, and produced the debut album "DEMOLICION," Selfo in 1984 under the UMBRAL label. It was the band's first and only work. A "DEMQLEDOR" project, with clear influences from IRON MAIDEN and JUDAS PRIEST. A lot of power, very good melodies, they create a consistent and very high-quality design, as far as HEAVY NATIONAL is concerned, and why not, INTERNATIONAL... Songs like "DEMOLICION (VENTAL)*," "ANTES DEL FIN," "PARAISO INFERNAL," "LA FUERZA DEL ME-TAL," "BAJO EL SIGNO DEL TERROR" and "ALMA DE CHACAL" shake up anyone who listens to the album. With very good arrangements, solos The guitar and Billy's original voice, with themes of everyday life (especially ANCENTINA of the last few years), make this a true "gem." They played at OBRAS alongside PAPPO and Ve, presenting their album, with good public acceptance. They also played at the SPRING METAL FESTIVALS of '84, being one of the best bands at that festival. At the beginning of '85, Luis Escobar left and Speedy Mendez replaced him. This change of direction marked the beginning of the band's decline. With a totally professional attitude, they changed producers, but didn't find the necessary support. When they were ready to record their second LP, three members left the group. Billy, Speedy, and Oscar Oropeza left due to musical differences, and the rest, MARCELO and DANIEL were content to look for new members, of whom nothing was ever heard. Thus ended the story of the band. The desire that could have been there was there. The only thing missing was the production project, a REAL shame.
