“When we recorded the Puppet Master there is one thing that is guaranteed to sound like a big lie, it still does for myself, but when we went in and made the vocals there was one day left in the studio. It usually takes me 5-7 hours to make vocals for one track, with all the backing vocals and the right harmonies. Then you have sung almost 4 shows like that and then the voice can not do much more. Here we had 2 tracks left and one day to do it (“Christmas & Living Dead) and the next day another band was booked for the studio and I had given up everything about getting done. But then we met at 10 in the morning and started the ‘Christmas’ and after 5 hours it was done.
After 14 hours in the studio, where I had sung for 13 hours, “Living Dead” was finished- and there is nothing I want to change about it today. And there are both high and low and all sorts of voices on that number also, I do not understand it myself today. It sounds like I’m sitting and filling you with lies- that’s how I feel but the voice was not worth much the next day”
