STEELER (US) PROMOTION LETTER

Ron Keel: When modern artists bitch about how tough social media is, I remind them that back in the day I had to type these without spell checker, if you screw up you gotta start over, then you have to staple a $1.00 ticket to the page, fold the page, print the address labels, lick the stamp (yes LICK - there were no peel-n-stick stamps back then!) and then drive to the post office to dump a box full of them in the outgoing mail. Tough times make tough people. (Note the midnight Thursday time slot on the ticket. You gotta start somewhere.)

Tom Petra (Promotor): Yeah I booked these shows I was manger promoter at that time of the Troubadour I was also in RPM . I probably didn’t pay you either I think I only paid Oingo Boingo Mötley Crüe and a couple other bands nobody ever made enough money and I had to keep the club alive until I gave up sometime a few months later, 1978-1982. My blood sweat broken leg and tears kept that club alive.
Special thanks to Ed whose family is still involved with ownership I think.
