This was the bands first gig after the change from Nihilist to Entombed. Other bands playing the same night were Therion, Sorcerer (Swe), Crematory (Swe), Carnage, Afflicted Convultion and Atrocity (Swe).
Anders Malkomsson (Organzier):
What memories! It was the first concert I organized. Since I had started broadcasting “Radio Metal Corner” earlier that year (anyone remember?), I had come into contact with a lot of new bands in the Stockholm area. I lived in Rinkeby at the time and since the association that supported the program was also there, it was quite natural to have the event in Rinkeby Folkets Hus.
It was - as I said - Entombed's first gig under the new name and Sorcerer's second. Mezzrow was the only band that had an album in the works at the time, so they were given the headline act. Otherwise, Crematory (not to be confused with the German band), Atrocity (also not German, later Rosicrucian), Afflicted Convulsion (later Afflicted), Carnage and Therion played. The event itself was actually a success (just barely broke even financially) although a bunch of young people living in Rinkeby apparently didn't like hard rockers and threw stones at the bands' buses after the event. As far as I understand, no one was seriously injured and luckily escaped with just a little shock.
However, that didn't stop me. I got the hang of it and arranged another Metal gig in Rinkeby a few years ago (better yet without the stone-throwing youngsters afterwards) and then a bunch of others in Akalla (a close by suburb).
