Formicide got together in 1990 in the Stockholm suburb Upplands Väsby. Most known for bands like Europe and Candlemass. The band consisted of Fredrik Petersson (Vocals), Daniel Berglund (Guitars), Magnus Barthelson (Guitars) and Patrick Michelson (Drums). They recorded this demotape ”Distorted" in the legendary Sunlight Studios, Stockholm, Sweden in December 1990. The band released their second and last demotape ”Comatose” during June/July 1991 before they called it quits.
OPINION: Sweden is best known for their Death Metal scene in the late 1980’s/Early 1990’s, and Thrash was never a thing that the youth started to play themselves. Of course the worship of American and German bands was big, but the ones that came out of the northern countries stayed underground. Like Mezzrow, Midas Touch, Hexenhaus etc.
If it weren't for the singer, I would have rated this one as FANTASTIC.
