OVERKILL (UK) was a N.W.O.B.H.M. from Whitchurch that were active from 1979 to 1983. They reformed in 2009 with three out of the four original members under the name ‘Dream Overkill’. Overkill played the first day of the classic musicfestival,1982 Reading Festival. On the same bill there were also Tank, Praying Mantis, Manowar and Budgie. To some confusion there have been som internet debates where people have thought it was the American Trash Metal band with the same name on the bill.
They released two demotapes and one EP. They also appeared on the compilation “Heavy Metal Heroes Volume II” (LP, Heavy Metal Records, 1982) with the track ‘Out Of My Head’ which is the one in this post.
