San Mateo Daily Journal reports: "The incident occurred around 6 p.m. April 28, 2025 when officers responded to a call on Arroyo Drive. According to a press release from the South San Francisco Police Department, the shooting suspect, Brian Montana "fired at officers from different locations within the driveway while seeking cover and concealment using both vehicles in the driveway and landscaping" Two officers fired their weapons, leaving Montana dead at the scene."
Possessed was formed by guitarist Mike Torrao and drummer Mike Sus. Jeff Becerra from Blizzard and second guitarist Brian Montana came into the band soon after. This lineup recorded the 1984 "Death Metal" demo, and the song "Swing of the Axe" for the Metal Massacre VI compilation on Metal Blade Records.
