COUNTRY: USSR (Soviet Union)
YEAR: 1989
STAND-OUT TRACK(S): Tannhäuser [Тангейзер], The Dreams [Мечты], Time Is Not Waiting [Время не ждёт]
Unreleased LP and the only recording of this Soviet Union band. Recorded only on reel to reel tape. The band was from the town Yaroslavl, USSR and was active from 1987 to 1994.
This album presents unique geniality both in composing and melodic levels, and in performing skills as well. Unfortunately very little is known about this band, and about band`s members. It is known that it is a project of guitarist virtuoso Yuri Gavrilov, nicknamed “Ogurets (Cucumber)” and the whole album has some musical orientation in the vein of Yngwie Malmsteen and his glorious album “Rising Force”.
In 1992, the band had a successful tour in the United States, where it performed at the Discover Jazz festival and played several concerts in Burlington with the legendary musician Big Joe Burrell. US music critics recognized the playing of the band's guitarist Yuri Gavrilov as "virtuoso”.

OPINION:
A fantastic neoclassical power metal album, with most of the songs instrumental. If you’re a fan of Magnit, Credo or Yngwie Mallmsteen you will probably like this album as much as I do. If it hadn’t been for the second to last track Rock-N-Roll [Рок-Н-Ролл] I might have given this my highest rating PERFECTION.
