REVIEWS:
Not a review but an anecdote from the concert. A part from an interview with Pär Fontander, a Swedish Metal Radio DJ/Journalist at the time.
Fontander did an interview with Lars Ulrich of METALLICA, the night before the band had an accident and their bassist Cliff Burton died.
— I met Lars before their gig at Solnahallen in November -86 and the following night they were going to play in Copenhagen. When I sat down and talked to him, I asked him what he was going to buy with him from Copenhagen back home to the USA and he told me that he had a big suitcase that he was going to fill with candy and stuff. He was incredibly excited to meet old friends again and to play in his childhood town. Then, when I was editing the interview on Saturday morning, a friend who worked at their record company called me and told me that one of their buses had overturned. A member was dead but they didn't know who. I told him to call me back as soon as he found out who it was. Then it was a rush, because I was allowed to re-edit the entire interview and tone down all the lustful things and just focus on the conversation about the new album. Just a few hours before the broadcast, I found out that it was Cliff Burton who had died, so I was the first to break the news about who had died. Afterwards, I received letters to the program where people said that they had cried when they heard the news. Of course, it came as a shock to many.
