EDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Dave Lombardo's memories of arriving in Toronto – Camaros aren’t very roomy and with four grown men travelling across country, it wasn’t very glamorous. It was brutal but it wasn’t going to break us – our passion for the music was so strong. We were all looking forward to playing in Canada and were surprised by how well Toronto went. Many more heads in the audience than there were in Winnipeg. That made an impact on us. We got to Toronto the day before the show. The promoter (GARY TOPP:) offered us drinks on the house. I got annihilated. After walking around the streets for a bit I went back to the club to use the restroom. I passed out on the toilet. After a while Jeff went looking, he found me in there and dragged me out. When I came around, my first question was “were my pants up?” Later that night, I passed out again with my leather jacket on and in my pockets were pancakes when I woke up. They had put a stack of pancakes under my head like little pillows too. Probably the most cushion I’d slept on in a while, and finding pancakes when you wake up hungry, it’s like, sure, I’ll take it. It was one of those moments you never forget.
