OZZY OSBOURNE ”PALLADIUM, NEW YORK, NY, US” (MAY 2, 1981) [AUDIO + PHOTOS + AD + TICKET]

I just love things like this. When someone have taken the time to add 8mm films and photos to a audio recorded concert. Such an amazing work, and time consuming. All hails to the uploader.

AUDIO:
From Randy Rhoades Fans (YouTube Uploader):

The video was taken from @Alfie's channel and enhanced with AI Video Upscaling. The images belong to Bill O'Leary, Ross Halfin, Richard Pascual, David Plastik, and Frederick J. Scavone. Some were enhanced with AI image upscaling due to poor quality. Several images were taken from the photographers' Facebook pages and official website. The images are mixed between the first and second shows: Ozzy wore a blue suit for the first show, Rudy wore a black pinstriped suit, and Randy wore a dark gray leather suit. In the second show, Ozzy wore a white suit, Rudy wore a red suit, and Randy wore a dark black leather suit.

I modified the equalization of the same bootleg audio available on @Alfie's channel, and in some specific parts of the video, there will be an anti-copyright filter due to YouTube's automatic system.

Before finishing, I would say that this project is in its first version because I want to obtain the DVD version and the blog posts so that this project is of better quality.

May 2, 1981, Blizzard of Ozz MK II heads to New York City to play NOT one, but TWO, shows at the Palladium.  This show turns out to be a big deal for Rhoads Nation and Blizzard of ozz fans as video emerges in the form of 8mm film. This is known to be the first fan filmed video according to Eddie Baggett book (Ozzy Osbourne -Ozzology Volume 1 -1970-1989).  However there is no audio. The first songs recorded were I Don't Know, Crazy train and Believer. they eventually were able to sync the audio to the video.  No one knows who took the video, nor if the master still exists.

Because of the demand for the first show, the band agreed to do another show (Sharon agreed), and more video comes this time of the entire show but no Children of the grave.

Video taken with a professional grade Super -8 sound camera.  The songs were not filmed in their entirety but good portions were. This video was taken by a film student, who would run up to the stage and set up camp. He leveraged 10 cartridges  3 minutes in length, which explains why he had to cut Children of the Grave.  The audio is very good with the video. The video ends up being used on the 30th Anniversary boxset for Blizzard of OZz, the one where Sharon removes Bob and Lee from a booklet of pics with Ozzy and Randy.  the one where she refused to give Bob what he wanted for the Holy grails, the one where an ad for the Southampton show was printed but not included.

Band stayed at the Park Plaza Hotel and before the show, Rudy Sarzo in his book writes about Randy suggesting they take a glass bottom helicopter ride over New York City, and as they see Madison Square Garden Randy mentions how it has been his dream to play that venerated Arena.
